Fascinated with drawing and painting from early childhood, Sarah Ewing presented her father, at the age of three, with an accurate and fully 3D sketch of a pram. The die was cast and these days she is rarely to be found without a paint brush in her hand.
Sarah is based near Stroud, on the edge of the Cotswolds, in the beautiful county of Gloucestershire. Drawing inspiration from her rural surroundings, the flora, fauna and wildlife, her world is one of dreams and lullabies, rhymes and fables, myth and magic and this deep connection with landscape, tradition and folklore is exquisitely reflected in her work.
To create each piece, Sarah uses a mixed-media technique which gives the paintings depth and allows the colours and images to truly sing.
Since 2015 Sarah has been working with award-winning UK rock band Big Big Train and she was awarded the accolade of Album Cover of The Year at the 2018 Progressive Music Awards in recognition of the artwork she created for Big Big Train's album, The Second Brightest Star. Sarah's work has also appeared on ITV and Channel 4 television and in publications from Mirror Group Newspapers and Future Publishing.
Sarah's captivating work is exhibited in galleries throughout the United Kingdom.
