His highly sought after original paintings are prominently featured in many private, public and corporate collections throughout the world. We are delighted that Les has recently chosen Fizz Gallery as the only gallery in the South of England to display his latest release of limited edition prints. Educated at Bristol Cathedral School, he qualified with a BA 1st Honours degree at Gloucestershire College of Art before going on to the Royal College of Art where he gained his MA. Mainly a cityscape painter, Les’s work explores ancient and modern cities throughout the world. Although versatile in his use of mediums, he is well appreciated and respected for his technical competence, which is unmistakable in every piece of his work. And whilst each painting evokes a contemporary atmosphere the colour palette for each piece is carefully chosen to reflect the period of the city. Within the structure of the painting key subjects are often expressed several times, using light and tone to evoke different perspectives. As is obvious from the perfection of every detail in his paintings, each original piece takes many months to complete. Limited edition prints are available on only a select few of his paintings, and each edition is limited to just 95, all signed and numbered.
